The work we do matters!Hiring Agency:Supreme Court - Agency 5Location: Lincoln, NEHiring Rate:$18.099Job Posting:JR2024-#######3 Case Monitor (Open)Applications No Longer Accepted On (If no date is displayed, job is posted as open until closed):12-27-2024Job Description:The Judicial Branch is a state-funded Branch of Government that offers medical/dental/vision, $20,000 free basic life insurance, state-matched 156% retirement plan, 13 paid holidays, earned paid vacation and sick leave, and more.This classification level is responsible for assessing in monitoring, coordinating activities associated with supervision of low-risk offenders; assist in the preparation of investigative reports; preparing alleged probation violations; coordinating and administering offender assessments; arranging and conducting alcohol and drug testing on offenders; initiating and monitoring treatment referrals as well as payment of fines, restitution, and community service. Assignment of this position within a district is at the Probation Administrator's discretion and contingent upon the unique needs of the district.JOB DUTIES1. Meets, interviews, and confers with clients through office meetings, monitors and documents progress. Gathers demographic, driving and criminal information. Explain terms of probation to individuals and make appropriate referrals consistent with court order. Administers alcohol and drug tests.2. Assists monitoring clients through Electronic Reporting Services (ERS) and other means under direction of a Probation Officer to ensure compliance with court regulations. Track and monitor cases within and outside of the jurisdiction as directed. 3. Prepares, updates, and submits a variety of reports and/or databases including but not limited to progress updates, court appearance paperwork, home-visit logs, and location reports. 4. Answer questions, refers, and verifies the completion of probation conditions, including restitution, community service, substance use programming, defensive driving, and any other court-ordered interventions. Verify the payment of fines and court costs, etc., and report any violations to the Chief Probation Officer or designated officer.5. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Or, one year of experience as a drug technician, office management, secretary/office support or related position.Consideration will be given to candidates receiving their degree within 120 days of application.All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.KNOWLEDGE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSIncumbents may be subject to travel.Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
