JOB SUMMARY

The Caseworker II reports to the Program Director. The Caseworker II will supervise residents in their activities and in their progress toward goals while also providing direct services to residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the accomplishment of the residents' case management plans through the provision of all program components and services. Services include, individual services, and other forms of direct services in accordance with case management plans.
  • Conduct resident orientations and needs assessments
  • Prepare, review and update case management plans for residents.
  • Make written notes on resident behavior and document significant interventions.
  • Document resident progress toward goals and maintain on-going communication with referral source regarding progress/lack of progress.
  • Provide individual services.
  • Assist residents in appropriate utilization of referral services.
  • Assist residents in transition/release planning.
  • Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  • Be on-site at the assigned location during regularly scheduled work hours.
  • ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess either a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years' experience working with a criminal justice or related population.
  • Certified training in emergency first aid procedures and CPR preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Basic computer skills in Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
  • Ability to understand and use ARMS (Automated Reentry Management System); preferred.
  • Complete all required training for Turning Point, California Department of Corrections, WestCare and Fresno County Probation
  • Ability to complete a minimum of 40 hours of in-service training hours per year. This is a contractual requirement that could be subject to change.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
