Job Description:
Provide casework to foster children and foster families to children 0-18, involved with DCF. Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma treatment models and behavioral interventions. Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations. Ability to demonstrate client-advocacy skills and can establish positive working relationships with community resources and funding source. Creating and updating treatment plans, discharge summaries and transition plans for youth. Strong flexibility skills for working in a program where change is dynamic and fluid. Commitment to working in a team model and a willingness to share multiple roles within the team.Requirements Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or LSWA, LSW required; strong interpersonal skills; empathy for others; demonstrated commitment to serving those with significant needs; ability to work well within a team model and independently. Computer skills necessary. Must have good writing and communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a vehicle for work use and current driver's license; a willingness to occasionally transport program participants in own vehicle. Mileage reimbursed. In-service training provided. All candidates must complete and pass background record screening process, and a driving record check. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory.
