Job DetailsLevel Entry Job Location Caseys Place Syracuse - Syracuse, NY Remote Type N/A Position Type Part Time Education Level High School Salary Range $20.00 Hourly Travel Percentage None Job Shift Day/Evening Job Category Undisclosed Description The Casey's Place Team Leader will provide oversight, and direction for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) along with ensuring daily operations of respite services are implemented following Elmcrest policies, regulations of NYS OPWDD HCBS waiver, and regulations of the 1915C Children's HCBS waiver. Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementation of respite services policies and procedures to ensure staff are following policies and protocols
- Perform all responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of Elmcrest
- On-call
- Oversite and coaching of staff performance to ensure quality of service on a daily basis
- Assist Shift Supervisor in completing OPWDD Core Competencies, as needed
- Assist in the management of daily operations per direction from Administrators
- Attend monthly staff meetings,
- Weekly meetings with Shift Supervisor
- Coverage of guests, as needed
- Onboard new hires (shadowing)
- Implementing community and onsite children's activities
- Oversight of daily cleaning of house
- Ensure that all staff documentation is complete and meets regulation and program policies
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with people with developmental disabilities
- Some college or leadership programs preferred
- Demonstration of independent work skills with the ability to be part of a team responsible for providing innovative respite programming
- Must have flexibility in work schedule
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid NYS driver license free of major infractions or ability to obtain one.
Essential Job Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to sit, squat, crouch and stand for elongated periods of time
- Ability to lift arms over head in upward reaching motion
- Ability to walk up and downstairs up to several times per day.
