Position SummaryThe Cash Application Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the cash application team, ensuring the prompt and precise posting of customer payments into the financial system, and streamlining operating processes. The incumbent diligently upholds records in alignment with established policies, practices, and procedures, safeguarding an accurate representation of the organization's cash flow in financial statements.Key ResponsibilitiesCultivates and maintains a collaborative relationship with the Lockbox manager to ensure effective communication and streamlined processes.Oversees the accurate and complete execution of all tasks within the department, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.Develop and implement efficient cash application procedures to optimize the workflow.Participates in financial audits, providing necessary support for inquiries related to payment transactions and maintaining compliance with audit requirements.Drives continuous improvement in system processes, actively seeking optimization opportunities to enhance departmental efficiency.Conducts monthly reconciliations of miscellaneous accounts to address payments not applied, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.Manages FR52 SOX requirements, implementing and maintaining controls to ensure adherence to regulatory standards while providing necessary information for financial and SOX audits, ensuring transparency and compliance with audit requirements.Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth lockbox transactions.Implement and monitor internal controls related to cash applications.Manages and provides leadership to team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team members on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieve team and corporate results.Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.Education, Experience & QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience, outstanding verbal, written, analytical, and formal presentation skills, ability to negotiate successfully with customers and colleagues, proficient understanding of Excel and other MS Office applications and related software systems. Legally eligible to work in the US and travel up to 20%.AttributesResponsible leader who is both team and deadline oriented.
