GENERAL SUMMARYIt is the responsibility of the Cashier to accurately perform collection services for the parking lot operation, meter systems, and inventory.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collect parking lot fees from users by utilizing computer system.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures accurately and record the same on appropriate forms.
- Collect parking lot fees, accept parking tickets, operate fee computer, accept money, make change.
- Assist the public by explaining fees, providing directions, locating parked cars.
- Handle customer complaints in a responsive, respectful manner.
- Clean booth and surrounding areas.
- Stock booths with supplies needed to perform essential functions.
- Provide relief for breaks for other Cashiers on shift.
- Provide Parking Customer Service support when necessary
- Recovery of jammed credit cards and/or tickets for customers as needed.
- Complete all necessary paperwork.
- Report all unusual security situation to the Police Department.
- Perform any other jobs assigned by the supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school; or successful completion of a high school equivalency exam; or any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position.
- Prior cashier experience.
- Ability to be bonded.
- Ability to maintain good public relations.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Effectively communicate and comprehend English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this job without creating a direct threat to the safety of oneself or others.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to operate a cash register/calculator.
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, push, pull, run.
- Ability to lift up to 15+ pounds.
- Ability to see, hear, talk, write.
