Cashier Job DescriptionTitle: CashierDepartment: Building OperationsReports to: General ManagerPrimary job location: Sharks Ice FremontFLSA and FTE status: Non-exempt and part timeSalary range or grade: $20.86/hourDate created: December 2022Position Summary: Responsible for taking in all monies for admission, skate rentals, skate sharpening, lessons and sales. Shift Information:
- Shift lengths vary depending on business needs and can be up to 8 hours any day and time of the week including weekends and holidays
Essential Functions: Answers telephones and public inquiries giving information concerning public and private sessions, Learn to Skate lessons and facility usage fee rates.
- Understands and explains all of Sharks Ice programs and policies.
- General clean-up of front desk.
- Assists Hockey and Skating Managers in accepting and processing registrations as necessary.
- Provides excellent customer service and ensures that all policies are properly implemented.
- Knows emergency procedures for equipment and evacuation plan.
- Ensures the overall cleanliness of Sharks Ice.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- Knows appropriate avenues/channels to find any unknown information.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated aptitude for working with numbers and relating to the general public.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, self motivated.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment.
- Must clear background check with no felony convictions and a clear driving record
- Must be able to wear SSE assigned uniform during all shifts
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to work with people of all ages
- Ability to learn new skills quickly
