Job Description Our cashiers are in the unique position of being the final point of contact with your customers, and having the opportunity to leave a lasting impression by providing friendly and courteous service as they accurately and efficiently check out customers' orders. If you enjoy interacting with people, a cashier just may be the right job for you! Pay Range: $15.00 *Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority* Primary Responsibilities Include: *Providing friendly and attentive customer service *Scanning and/or ringing customers' purchases. *Bagging customers orders. *Collecting payment for customer transactions. *Stocking supplies in the immediate area, returning shopback, retrieving carts, and miscellaneous cleaning straightening of various shelf sections as needed. *Directing customers to an appropriate manager when necessary. *Any reasonable request from management. Job RequirementsQualifications: *Ability to maintain a friendly and courteous manner and promote sales through excellent customer service. *Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. *Basic computer skills and the ability to operate a cash register, scanner, telephone system, and scale. *Ability to handle money, checks, and other media. *The ability to distinguish between various forms of currency. * Will need to be available nights, weekends, and holidays
