Position Overview: The Cashier is responsible for accurate POS operation and cash handling. The cashier is responsible for drawer reconciliation of all retail locations, End of Day, End of Month and End of Year documentation, Credit Card and Gift Card tracking and verification. Additionally, the cashier will assist in preparation and service of meals in a retail location, stock and maintain clean facilities at all times, and work collaboratively to provide exceptional food and service to all patients, visitors, guests and employees. What you'll do:
- Prepare and serve meals according to recipe and portion control standards
- Interact with all guests, visitors and employees in a professional manner
- Operate POS system with accurate cash handling
- Reconcile cash drawers, credit card transactions and complete daily register logs
- Assist Caf Supervisor in End of Day, End of Month and End of Year documentation
- Prepare and complete deposits and change orders for delivery to the bank
- Ensure positive customer service at all times
- Maintain clean facilities throughout service
- Maintain departmental policies and procedures of clinical care in accordance with regulatory agencies
- Effective Communication and demonstration of team-based management.
- Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education - High School Diploma or GED
- Experience - Minimum of 1 year experience working in a foodservice or retail establish with similar cash handling responsibility
- Licensure - Not required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years' experience in a food service supervisory role
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling and reaching. May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold. Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects. A licensed ability to drive may be necessary.
