Job Summary:Cashiers at Whole Foods are the face of the company and are responsible for making a positive impact on shoppers. The cashier will scan the customers' selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information regarding products, promotions, or item location.
Responsibilities:- Operate scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.- Accept payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.- Process refunds and exchanges, resolve complaints, and maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor.- Greet customers entering or leaving the store.- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.- Pack goods and manage bagging areas to ensure proper handling of customers' purchased items.
Qualifications:- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service position preferred.- Basic mathematical skills.- Strong attention to detail.- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.- High school diploma or equivalent.
