We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Cashier to join our C545 Cashier Unit 1 team located at the Chickasaw Travel Stop #545 working .Summary:Operates cash register and stocks store. Promotes signature products by providing the highest level of customer service and ensures awinning experience.Responsibilities:* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Cleans assigned area- Cleans and sweeps floors- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms- May empty ash trays- Disposes of trash- May clean exterior areas such as parking lots and sidewalks- Aligns seats close to machines in gaming areas* Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received- Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received- Provides accurate change for cash purchases- Processes discounts, refunds, exchanges, coupons accurately- Balances register/terminal and completes reports for receipts, cash balance- May perform minor trouble shooting of POS- Maintains accurate cash count and assume responsibility for any shortages at end of shift- May be responsible to confirm POS pricing updates* Audits register and change box funds by auditing account shortages and overages through process of counting their shift bag down before and after closing out shift* Stocks inventory several times during shift by placing products on display shelf for customer availability* Promotes products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales* Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and managementSkills:Essential:* Quickly and accurately count back customer's changeExperience:Essential:* No prior experience required.Nonessential:* 1 year directly related experienceEducation:Nonessential:* High School, GED or EquivalentCredentials:Essential:* Pass gaming background checkWorking Conditions:Essential:* May work where cigarette smoking occurs* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs* Standing up to 100% of shift* Walking up to 100% of shift
