**Description**
- A cashier is responsible for greeting customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner, help customers in locating or selecting merchandise with the goal of providing a positive customer experience.
- Operates the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and totaling customers purchase.
- Ask customer to round up purchase and explain where the money goes.
- Collects payment by accepting cash, credit card, or voucher and makes change.
- Balance cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of work shift.
- Call leadership for tax exempt and employee discount purchases.
- Cleans front doors, counters, and glass frequently, dust cases, keep front of store clean, return shopping carts and baskets to appropriate areas, return unsold merchandise to proper area.
- Always maintain cash wrap and register area.
- Assists in training new cashiers.
- Cleans dressing rooms and re-hang clothes as needed.
- Adheres to all GGC and personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Team Leader Coach.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift up to 45lbs. bending, pushing, pulling, or reaching.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Temperatures vary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to organize and maintain cash handling procedures according to corporate policy.
- Ability to read, write, communicate verbally, and perform basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with other team members.
- Must be able to pass a drug and criminal background check.
- Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
