Responsibilities
- Warm Customer Greetings: Greet customers with a friendly demeanor as they enter the store, providing fast and efficient service.
- Cash Handling Expertise: Ring up customer sales using an electronic cash register, ensuring accurate transactions.
- Shift Change Dynamism: Count money at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Specialty Product Wizardry: Process specialty products, including money orders and credit card purchases.
- Vigilant ID Checks: Check identifications for restricted sales.
- Nighttime Stock Mastery: Keep shelves stocked and ready for customers.
- Sanitization Superhero: Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing all equipment and areas.
- Trash Takedown: Clean and empty trash containers regularly.
- Vendor Deliveries & Stock Wizardry: Check in vendor deliveries and ensure shelves are stocked and rotated.
- Bad Merchandise Resolution: Complete the bad merchandise form as needed.
- Adaptable All-Star: Assume other duties as assigned to accommodate store operational needs.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older in certain states, and 21 years or older in others.
- Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Pre-Employment Screening: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Personable and Positive: Friendly demeanor and ability to make people feel welcome.
- Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail in a customer's experience.
- Reliable and Responsible: Punctual and trustworthy.
