Reports to Title: Shift Leader with directions from a Team LeaderSHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 3rd Shift Position Night (07:00 pm - 7:00 am) Overtime may be required throughout the weekSTARTING PAY: $18.68 with the ability to earn moreAs part of the Bonnell Aluminum Company, the Cast House Associate position will be responsible for the following: Prepare, assemble, and install casting materials and equipment. Operate casting lines to cast aluminum billet (ingot) as well as inspection of cast ingot and scrap.Essential Duties:* Charge furnace safely and control the furnace level per standard operating procedures.* Prepare the casting lines and filter boxes following standard or special operating procedures.* Visual inspection of all cast ingot.* Safely monitor and maintain cast lines per standard operating procedure.* Ship acceptable ingot per standard operating procedures.* Reports and reviews any unusual condition with supervisor, quality or manager.* Ability to work in a team environment.Additional Duties:* Record operating data onto check sheets. Make process adjustments.* Operate forklift when needed.Qualifications:* High School diploma or equivalent* Ability to read and understand all warning labels, Job Safety Alert and Material Safety Data* 1-2 years manufacturing experience* Must pass company background check and drug screen.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to work in a team environment.Working Conditions:Currently 12-hour shifts and overtime as required (3-4 days a week) (7pm to 7am)Physical Demands:Lifting: Medium - Lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 50 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 25 pounds.Standing: Constantly (greater than 90% of workday)Walking: Constantly (greater than 80% of workday)Bending and Twisting: Constantly (greater than 80% of workday)Temperature Extremes (percent of time working in non-climate controlled, production environment): Constantly (greater than 90% of workday)Noise (percent of time working in noisy, production environment): Constantly (greater than 80% of workday)Preferred Qualifications:Foundry or Casting ExperienceThe Ideal Candidate will consistently demonstrate the following behaviors.* Trust, Respect, Integrity -- lives by and demonstrates these core values.
