Your Responsibilities

Brokers both support and lead production through the placement of reinsurance contracts. Brokers are involved in multiple facets of the reinsurance broking process including developing client relationships, leading junior staff, driving new business, and executing on renewals.

Broker responsibilities:

  • Analyze submission data and negotiate casualty reinsurance placements to achieve favorable outcomes for our growing client base.
  • Consult with client underwriters to understand risk transfer goals and identify best offering. Create alternative solutions as necessary.
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships to drive opportunity and grow the Lockton Re franchise.
  • Contribute to innovation and transactional excellence through collaboration with IT, Analytics, and Operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent insurance sales experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of casualty (re)insurance experience.
  • Demonstrated successful track record sales achievement. Independently motivated.
  • Professional accomplishments must demonstrate capability and an affinity for building customer relationships and successfully managing the business development process.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Team player with demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility to create a positive work environment.
