Wieland is hiring a Aluminum Cell Operator. The Aluminum Cell Operator sets up and operates a draw bench to draw tubing to required size & specifications, prepares and utilizes the application of the autosaw machine and the finish saw machine to cut product to acceptable size and specifications, operates the rotary straightener by loading tubing into the guide and holding the material while traveling through the straightener if necessary. Sets up and operates a pointing machine to prepare stock for the bench operation. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located in Duncansville, PA.

Starting Pay: 19.20/hr + shift differential of $.40/hr

Schedule: 3rd Shift

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Aluminum Cell Operator Responsibilities:

Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required
• Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes to effectively complete tasks.
• Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the next customer in a timely manner.
• Performs draw bench set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheet).
• Maintains accurate records as needed on traveler tickets and/or daily production sheets.
• Welds plugs on rods.
• Replaces paddles as necessary.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine's training evaluation form.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP's.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices.
• Able to work various overtime as business needs required.
