Field Service Manager / Renewable Energy
(Solar/BESS/EV Chargers)

We are seeking a Field Service Manager to facilitate the Asset Management team's success by managing field service personnel who perform on-site routine services including installation, start-up, commissioning, maintenance, and repair.
You Are:
* Keenly interested in our economy's transition to clean, renewable energy
* An experienced field service technician who provides clear instructions and delivers adequate support and guidance to achieve individual goals and department goals
* An engaged field service technician who checks progress regularly and ensures that projects maintenance are completed timely and accurately
* Organized, with the ability to draft action plans, including a realistic time schedule for activities, and able to adjust plans when necessary
* Results-oriented, taking proactive steps to meet goals, looking for alternatives when actions aren't leading to desired results.
* An effective and well-articulated communicator
You Will:
* Support start-up and commissioning of PV, ESS, and EV equipment
* Oversee ongoing O&M requirements for all sites
* Review projects and define the equipment and service scope with EPC, and Engineering teams.
* Track multiple projects, spanning different geographical locations, and ensure efficient project budget utilization
* Oversee mechanical and electrical installation, monitor and enforce scope, as well as manage customer expectations at operational sites
* Liaising between Customers, Engineers, and Manufacturers.
* Technical Support for field technicians: repairing, testing, troubleshooting, inspecting, installing, removing, and maintaining solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
* Ordering and scheduling the delivery of all tools, equipment and materials needed on projects.
* Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to
* Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public
* Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings applies knowledge to daily tasks.
* Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed
* Work cross-functionally and communicate asset operational updates and commissioning timelines to the EPC team, management, and other internal teams to execute an integrated approach to asset management
* Partner with Procurement to prepare equipment PO's, installation and parts lists, and vendor required items as well as coordinate shipment and installation to operational sites
* Manage some scheduling and planning for the field service O&M team and contractors
* Collaborate with team members to identify and suggest improvements to business processes and best practices.
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of time (on an as-needed basis)
What You Bring to the Team:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or 5+ years work experience in related field
* 5+ years of Field Service Management or Project Management experience; strong technical ability on electromechanical equipment preferred
* 5+ years of experience performing similar job junctions, including PV, ESS, Power Electronics or EV Charger installations; operations and maintenance; repair; or start-up and commissioning desired
* 2+ years of experience in renewable energy, construction, architecture, or engineering preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar)
* Ability to work on a flexible work schedule to ensure timely completion of critical projects
* Previous safety and/or hazmat training a plus
* Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements in your state

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, New York City Salary Transparency Law and California Pay Transparency Law, Catalyze provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado, New York City or California. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado the range of base starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 USD. For the State of New York City, NY and California only, the range of base starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 USD. These ranges are not inclusive of bonus.
