This is an in-office position that sits onsite in Buffalo, NY.The Category Development Specialist is a strategic role that is responsible for achieving sales growth within an assigned vertical market and/or product category.The Category Development Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of strong, data driven, market led, sales and marketing plans as well as creative product management. This role requires someone with initiative, who leads by example and will represent Conax well. A tenacious hunter with an entrepreneurial spirit.The position is responsible for maximizing sales volume, profitability, and market share. This includes building and maintaining customer relationships and interfacing with the management team to assist in the development of budgets, sales strategies, sales policies, forecasts, reports, product/marketing and pricing strategies among other tactical and strategic activities as required. In short, this position is responsible for filling the sales funnel with opportunities from new and existing customers. Opportunities will be developed directly with end users, OEM's and through the development of a pro-active distribution network. The primary area of responsibility will be in the US but will have a global reach supporting specific product growth in international markets through a network of direct salespeople and distributors.If you have a strong drive to achieve results and are a highly motivated, success driven, independent worker, then we are interested in hearing from you. Previous demonstrated success is similar roles highly desirable.Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual teammates.
