Position Summary: Catalyst Nutraceuticals is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Procurement Category Manager to lead our procurement strategy in Buford, GA. With a strong focus on vendor consolidation and long-term strategic planning. This role will drive a significant impact on our bottom line through operational efficiency, cost savings, and improved supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the nutraceuticals market. Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Consolidation: Lead strategic vendor consolidation efforts to build enduring partnerships, optimize procurement processes, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs): Facilitate QBRs with key vendors to evaluate performance, align on strategic objectives, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Collaborate closely with sales, supply chain, and vendors to implement robust S&OP processes that ensure accurate demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Market Analysis to Drive Savings and Ensure Material Availability: Monitor market pricing and trends, and along with S&OP develop recommendations for blanket orders, replacement costs, and safety stock levels.
  • Excess and Obsolete Inventory (E&O) Management: Develop strategies to effectively manage and sell excess and obsolete inventory, minimizing financial losses and reducing operational risks.
  • Supplier Risk Management: Assess and mitigate supplier risks to ensure business continuity, especially in times of market volatility or supply disruptions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Foster strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts that align with the company's growth strategy and values.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure cohesive execution of procurement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Leverage procurement data to generate insights, reporting on trends and performance metrics that inform strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the nutraceutical, food, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and strategic sourcing.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing procurement teams or cross-functional projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with modern procurement technologies, such as ERP and procurement automation software, is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership abilities, capable of guiding procurement strategy while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure, ensuring the organization's procurement strategy aligns with broader business goals.
