Catering CoordinatorLocation - Midtown NYCReports to: Catering DirectorWho We are:We are a large Italian restaurant in the heart of NYC, featuring a restaurant, bar and lounge, dining room and banquet space and future expansion of our facilities.We seek an organized and thorough Catering Coordinator to help with our rapidly growing catering business and to liaise between our sales team and clients. In this role, you will ensure orders are moving smoothly and that all moving pieces are accounted for in our catering orders.The Catering Coordinator Role:Read, analyze and incorporate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, menus, buffets, action stations and AVRespond to and fulfill any specific banquet event arrangementsAccompany Director of Catering on site visits to gather event info and specific guest needsAct as liaison between client and sales dept to ensure event details and changes are executed accuratelyCoordinate with Front of House and Back of House to verify timeline and executionCreate BEOs and floor plans for each eventAnswer incoming inquires, providing proposals for such inquiriesAssist Director of Catering on large eventsManage daily and/or weekly BEO distributionWhat you bring to the role:A degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is plus3+ years experience in the catering or hospitality industryAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional appearanceOrganized and punctual$40,000k salaryCucina 8 ½ is an equal opportunity employer.
