The Special Affairs Wait Staff member are responsible for the courteous, efficient, accurate service of meals to the RL Residents, resident guests, and all guests of Morningstar Living. Duties include, but are not limited to, organizing special events from start to finish and following proper service techniques during service. The Special Affairs Wait Staff member are also responsible for performing assigned set-up and clean-up tasks. Clear perception of the table dynamics in his/her servicing area and can anticipate the needs of customers to uphold a pleasant dining atmosphere. This Special Affairs Wait Staff member will be scheduled for all day events which coinsdie with Sales & Marketing, Administration, Heritage Village, MHS Residents and other scheduled catered events within Morningstar Living. What will I do as a Catering Lead?
- Will assist with planning and execute events for Moravian Hall Square and Heritage Village, including events for Sales/Marketing, Administration, as well as other events within Morningstar Living.
- Assure proper preparation of tables
- Attend pre-meal meeting
- Understand menu items and specials
- Provide quality service equally to all residents and their guests
- Adheres to federal, state, and local guidelines and laws including but not limited to HIPAA, resident abuse, and Elder Justice Act.

- Possesses a flair in creativity and enjoys using it to enhance the customer experience
Physical Requirements Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 30 pounds up to 4 hours daily. Must be able to carry large serving trays of food and dishes with up to six meals plus hold the tray for up to five minutes with up to 25 pounds. Why choose Morningstar Living?
