The Catering Manager is an integral member of our hospitality team, overseeing all aspects of catering operations, from planning and coordination to execution and follow-up. This role ensures that every event is executed flawlessly, focusing on delivering exceptional food and service that exceeds member and guest expectations. The Catering Manager will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to create memorable experiences that align with our standards of excellence.

ABOUT ARONIMINK GOLF CLUB

Aronimink Golf Club, founded in 1896, located in Newtown Square, PA, is proud to offer Members the finest in dining and sporting activities, including a nationally ranked Donald Ross designed golf course. The Club has undergone extensive renovations to its F&B outlets with the completion of the pool and pool dining area scheduled for May 2025. The Clubhouse was designed by Charles Barton Keen, and features a large great room, indoor and outdoor dining and event spaces, newly renovated Golf Patio, and honors its history of tradition and excellence.

The Club's facilities offer trapshooting, a pool facility featuring a diving pool, a lap-lane pool, a kid's pool, a racquet facility featuring nine outdoor tennis courts, two indoor tennis courts, four platform tennis courts, as well as several pickleball courts. The Club features a Golf Performance Center, where its members can partake in golf lessons with access to the driving range.

Aronimink Golf Club is perennially recognized as one of the top golf courses in the country and the top Clubs in the world. Aronimink is currently ranked as the #8 Platinum Golf Club in America, the #28 Platinum Golf & Country Club in the World.

The Club is in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and is about thirty minutes from downtown Philadelphia.

In 2026, Aronimink will serve as the host venue for the 108th PGA Championship.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Catering Manager will oversee all aspects of the banquets and events operations at Aronimink Golf Club. The Catering Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all catered events, ensuring exceptional service, culinary excellence, and customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal in enhancing the overall member and guest experience and fostering strong client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with clients and members to determine their needs and preferences for catering services, including menu selection, theme, and special requests.

• Design event layouts, timelines, and budgets in coordination with clients and internal teams.

• Ensure smooth execution of events, managing logistics, staff assignments, and on-site operations.

• Work closely with the executive chef and culinary team to create customized menus tailored to each event.

• Stay current with food trends and dietary preferences to offer innovative and appealing options.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service from the initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with regular and potential clients to drive repeat business.

• Hire, train, and schedule catering staff to ensure a high standard of service and professionalism.

• Lead and motivate the catering team, promoting a positive work environment and teamwork.

• Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality service and offerings.

• Track expenses, revenue, and profitability for each event, adjusting as needed.

• Source and negotiate with third-party vendors (e.g., florists, rental companies, AV specialists) to meet the needs of each event.

• Manage contracts, ensure compliance with terms and maintain good relationships with external partners.

• Coordinate with accounting to ensure proper billing of all events.

• Oversee all catering operations to ensure food quality, presentation, and service consistency.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high sanitation standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Event Planning, or a related field preferred.

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Catering Manager or similar role in a high-end catering or hospitality environment.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.

• Previous experience in Northstar POS and Social Tables is highly preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and event logistics.

• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
