Catering Prep Cook

Rita's Hospitality group is looking for and experienced Prep Cook to join our Catering Kitchen Team. As a premier caterer in the Greater Boston Area, Rita's has become synonymous with excellence in food quality and catering abilities and as such, our team must reflect this excellence in everything that they do for Ritas. The role of Catering Kitchen Prep cook reports directly to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, assisting both with any necessary food prep to fulfill that days catering orders. The hours for this position are typically 8AM - 4PM with the potential that reporting earlier or staying later be necessary depending on order volume. The ideal candidate for this role will be willing to work a flexible schedule, have an understanding of food safety and experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a diverse team.

Responsiblities:

- Providing the Chefs with any prepped items they request for the days orders

- Keeping the prep stations clean and orderly between orders and at the end of every shift

- ensuring that all inventory items in that station are put away in their correct areas

- Cleaning and maintaining any kitchen wares or equipment at the end of each shift

- Mastering the Rita's menus and developing an understanding of what can be prepped the previous day to be more efficient with time and order execution

Skills:

- Mastery of knife skills from chopping to julienne to dicing

- Knowledge of diverse menus from Italian Cuisine to Indian cuisine to Asian cuisine

- Knowledge of food safety protocols

- Keen attention to detail
