Hourly range: Between $28 and $29 per hour. Your ImpactThe Catering Supervisor oversees the planning, organization, and execution of catering operations for our Senior Living Community, ensuring quality service and seamless events. Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, this role is responsible for managing catering staff, maintaining high standards of service, and implementing new catering technologies. The Catering Supervisor plays a vital role in creating memorable experiences for residents and guests while ensuring efficiency and compliance with all regulations.Job Specific Duties
- Coordinate and oversee all catering events, from planning to execution.
- Supervise catering staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, residents, and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Implement and manage catering technologies for efficient operations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for catering supplies and equipment.
- Assist with menu planning and collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality and presentation meet expectations.
- Oversee event set-up, service, and clean-up, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
- Track and report catering expenses, maintaining operations within budget.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas of improvement.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among the catering team.
What You Will Need
- 21 years or older, pending specific state requirements.
- Strong written and oral communication and leadership skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Previous supervisory experience in catering or hospitality (1-2 years preferred).
- Familiarity with catering technology and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and events in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with residents, guests, and staff.
- Successful background check and drug screen, state specific.
- Health screening and TB tests, state specific.
- ServSafe® Certification, state-specific Food Handlers Card, and any additional certifications required by local or state law.
Physical and Sensory RequirementsRequires mobility to stand and walk extensively during event preparation and service. Lifting and carrying trays or boxes up to 25 pounds. Pushing and pulling equipment carts up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity for using catering equipment and tools. Visual acuity for reading menus, labels, and schedules. Hearing ability to respond to verbal communications and event needs.
