According to W Magazine, the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and her husband Jay-Z have all stopped by for a bite.Its newest location will be designed by Jacques Grange and will occupy the street-level space on the corner of 77th Street and Madison Avenue. Diners can expect a few of its classics, including its divine twice-baked potato topped with caviar, eggs with caviar, pasta with caviar, blinis with salmon, bottarga, and more. The boutique will also offer guests the chance to purchase and bring home a few of its delicacies so they can indulge any time they wish.The OpportunityThe Boutique sales position is to assist in overseeing all sales transactions in the boutique whether in person, on the phone or online. They are responsible for the maintenance, organization and restocking of all Boutique supplies and areas used throughout the shift. In addition, they will be a key support staff member for the guest experience for guests dining in the restaurant.The hourly rate for this position is between $20 to $25USD per hour, commensurate with experience, plus an uncapped commission structure.Essential Functions
- Greet all guests whether in person or on the telephone in a positive manner.
- Ascertain why the guest is visiting (Boutique shopping, Dine in reservation, Vendor visiting a manager, etc.) and guide them as necessary.
- For guests shopping at the boutique, ask questions to guide them through a sales experience that is friendly, inquisitive and uses our range of resources on guest notes to make it a seamless experience.
- Working in conjunction with all teammates to communicate all client sales needs including but not limited to: coordinating FedEx ship dates and FedEx shipments, Boutique pickup dates, packing up boutique orders for guests that are also dining in the restaurant.
- Keep all surfaces in the Boutique clean, sanitized and organized.
- Constantly restock all boutique products and rotate on a FIFO basis.
- Monitor all products for best by date to ensure a client never receives a product past its best by date.
- Monitor all products for intact freshness seals or damage. Alert managers to any issues with product to account for the spoilage properly.
- Consistently monitoring supplies levels to make sure we are properly back stocked with the following: all shopping bags, ice packs, giftboxes, stationery, packaging collateral, and any office supplies.
- Support the Boutique and Dining Room staff sales efforts as directed by Management team.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceMinimum Education (or substitute experience) required:• Minimum education level is a completed high school diploma or GED equivalent.• Food handler's certification.Minimum experience required• 1 year of restaurant experience or food sales in a retail environmentSkills required• Be able to confidently read, write, and communicate in English.• Must have a basic understanding of food safety.• Be able to confidently read, write and communicate in English.• Computer literate and be able to confidently work with all Microsoft suite of products.• Has the ability to constantly reprioritize dependent on client needs (dine in, telephone, emails, websites as well as supporting your teammates).• Superior analytical, planning, prioritization, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and time management skills.• Be able to maintain a positive attitude amidst an ever changing and demanding luxury environment.
