PART TIME DELIVERY DRIVERDelivers library materials, such as books and DVDs; inter office mail, supplies, and occasionally computers or other equipment and furniture to our 36 public libraries in the Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.Key Responsibilities/Functions:Load the delivery vehicle with the packed library materials andFollow a designated route, making 13-16 stops in one day to public libraries, nursing homes, and other senior facilitiesSort library materials, return materials to the system, and unload the truck Unpack and pack delivery for next day, as neededDoes minor vehicle maintenance and repairs as neededInspect and report any vehicle defects to Supervisor for repairAssist in training new delivery driversFollow keys and security alarm proceduresSecure buildings upon departure and report problems as appropriatePerforms other related duties as required or as assignedAccurate, dependable, responsible, while working independently, with minimal supervisionPerform other related duties as required or as assignedQualifications and Skills Required:Must have a clean NYS driver's licensePhysically able to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbsStrong customer service skillsAccurate, dependable, responsible, while working independently, with minimal supervisionAble to use good judgment and communicate both written and verballyprovided by The Jamestown Post-Journalrecblid g1vqq5tmskh12rkatrpezltm6ig7lr
