SummaryThe Production Control Analyst will interact regularly with the production floor personnel to ensure correct processing of vehicle tracking data. Production Control Analysts use strong problem solving/analytical skills to maximize plant efficiency by controlling and managing production flow and model mix ratios. Production Control Analysts must be able to respond quickly and calmly during high-stress events that occur without warning (including, but not limited to, power outages, machine downtime, severe weather or fire alarms, unforeseen part shortages, etc.). This position also provides technical troubleshooting and equipment repairs on floor devices such as broadcast printers, scanners, and data input terminals to maintain streamlined production.
Outline of duties: - The essential functions described below are intended to broadly define the expectations of the role.
- Utilize remote virtual controls that manage vehicle flow throughout SIA.
- Rapidly respond to alarms and production changes due to a variety of potential reasons (e.g., part shortages, facility downtime, quality concerns, etc.) - then collaborate with other departments to control vehicle flow to minimize the impact of those situations that may cause work stoppage or scrap vehicles.
- Plan strategies for various production flow conditions and assist with coordinating floor operations and daily production schedules throughout the plant - this includes working with production and engineering to coordinate and execute setups for weekend and shutdown project activities.
- Maintain a knowledge of production flow and travel times to help make recommendations for schedule changes and overtime to minimize cost and maximize efficiency.
- Understand proper data and vehicle flow to accurately monitor, troubleshoot, and correct tracking data to ensure vehicles are built and tracked appropriately.
- Troubleshoot and repair floor devices (such as printers, scanners, and data input terminals) and clean / replace floor carrier tags.
- Assist Maintenance and IS Operations during their troubleshooting and repair activity.
- Work with shops to gather information regarding production issues, then generate various overall daily reports on production conditions and progress, including downtime events, to the Production Control team and to SIA officials.
- Create and maintain tools (in Excel or other software) to analyze and assist in daily operations and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications: - Associate's degree required with 1 or more years of experience.
- Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mathematics, or related field
- Proficient MS Office skills
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mathematics, or related field
- Previous experience with SQL
