Summary/ObjectiveAssisting in providing quality child care in a nurturing, safe environment using developmentally appropriate curriculum.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:Responding to all internal and external customers, as it relates to position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient mannerSupervising children in the child development program including play periods, meal time, field trips, assemblies, bathroom and emergency drillsAssisting with developing and creating bulletin boards, signs, borders and classroom displaysAssisting students with various physical, emotional and educational needsAlerting the director/supervisor to any problem or special information about a studentMaintaining the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer employedWorking in collaboration with other staff to maintain a safe and healthy learning environmentKeeping educational materials, equipment and the general room environment neat, safe and cleanMaintaining knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations and rulesPerforming related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent mannerAssisting with the supervision of high school internsOther DutiesThis job description is not a comprehensive listing of duties, responsibilities, or activities that are required of the employee for this job. This position is not eligible for medical benefits. Employee will work scheduled hours per day Monday through Friday.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Education and ExperienceWorking with children.Required Certifications/LicensesDocumentation of current negative TB test.Work Authorization/Security ClearanceMust be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
