CDL-A Truck Driver (OTR/Regional)
About Us: We are a mid-sized trucking company with 500 trucks, focusing on routes in the East (60%), Midwest (30%), and South (10%). We do not operate in western states. Our fleet includes well-maintained Freightliners (2017–2020) with modern amenities to ensure our drivers' comfort and efficiency on the road.
Position Highlights:
- Route Options:
- OTR routes.
- Regional routes close to Chicago (home every weekend).
- Routes to New York and Philadelphia (home weekly or every two weeks).
- Pay Rates:
- $0.60 CPM (W2), with potential to earn $0.63 CPM after 30 days OTR.
- $0.65 CPM (1099).
- $50 per stop.
- $15/hour detention after 2 hours.
- $150/day breakdown pay.
Driver Benefits:
- Freightliner trucks equipped with a fridge, microwave, and inverter.
- Trucks governed at 69 MPH.
- E-Logs via company software.
- Option for truck idling or APU.
- In-house maintenance for reliable equipment support.
Bonuses & Costs:
- No performance bonuses offered.
- $1,200 escrow, deducted at $200 weekly, refunded 30 days after termination.
Additional Details:
- Orientation typically lasts 1 day and includes a road test, truck assignment, and ELD training. Orientation travel is reimbursed for W2 drivers only; 1099 drivers cover their own travel.
- Drop-and-hook percentage to be confirmed.
- Night shift dispatch available.
- Terminals located in NJ, PA, FL, and Chicago.
- Trucks fuel at any preferred location.
Requirements:
- Must pass a urine-based drug test.
- Dash cameras installed (inward and outward-facing) for safety.
- Driver loads are dispatched with a 20-truck-to-dispatcher ratio for effective communication and support.
