Truck It LLC is a small trucking company based in Harrisonburg, VA and is in search of a CDL class A truck driver.
We pull dry vans and a step deck flatbed trailer. I have been running the business and driving one of the trucks but I have suffered a knee injury and cannot drive for next two to three months. I am therefore in search of a well seasoned driver to either work temporarily until I return, or to work full time on a long term basis. I would be open to either situation. As I am not in a position to do any on the job training I am looking to hire an experienced driver who needs little oversight. My other driver is top tier. We work together to find the schedule that is right for him and that works for the company. He is an extremely safe driver and together we have built a reputation of being a company that provides high quality service as well as a high level of safety. I am looking to hire a driver who can provide the same level of quality and safety and who is highly self sufficient. We run over the road and are home over the weekend. If you want temporary work until I return to driving we can work together to get the loads that both fits your schedule and benefits the company. If you want to work full time we can work together to figure out how to get you the most amount of miles while also having the home time that you desire.
Pay is $.50 per odometer mile.
Responsibilities - Safely operate tractor-trailers - Transport and deliver freight to designated locations - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations - Maintain accurate driving logs and records - Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed Qualifications - Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record - Previous experience OTR experience - Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude.
