DutiesWe are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Part-Time Yellow School Bus Driver for high school students. As a bus driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school in a timely manner. The bus driver's primary duty is to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit.Key Responsibilities:* Safely operate a 72-passenger yellow school bus following established routes and schedules.* Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and maintaining a safe driving environment.* Maintain order and discipline among students while on the bus.* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.* Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding transportation-related issues.* Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations pertaining to school bus transportation.* Attend training sessions to enhance driving skills and knowledge of safety procedures.QualificationsJob Requirements:* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements.* Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations.* Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.* Prior experience as a school bus driver is preferred but not required; training will be provided.Salary/Benefits* $25 per hour.* Opportunity for additional hours beyond the regular schedule.Additional Notes* Hours: 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday.* Additional hours may be available for sports, extracurricular activities, and/or field trips.If you are a dependable individual with a commitment to safety and a passion for working with students, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
