The success of our business has come from our people who have passion, commitment, creativity, initiative, and a collaborative team spirit.PurposeCellar Persons are responsible for maintaining beer production throughout fermentations, transfer, and clarification of beer in preparation for packaging.DutiesPerform daily fermentation pH/gravity checksCIP and sanitize fermenters and brite tanksCellar work including yeast pitching/harvesting, dry-hopping, transferring, centrifuging, and carbonating beerRecord all necessary dataBeer, chemical and wastewater managementExtensive brewery cleaning and sanitationMaintain accurate records of hops, clarifying agents and transfer volumesAid in receiving and storage of raw materials and suppliesOperate a forklift when certified (will train)Perform QA/QC duties as assignedAdhere to correct PPE and all SOPsOther duties as assignedRequirements21 years of age or olderPassionate about craft beerStrong communication skills; ability to speak and interact effectively with coworkersProfessional presence; must conduct self in professional manner at all times as an ambassador for CDBPositive attitude, initiative, creativity and adaptability as CDB growsSelf-motivated and able to take initiative without a lot of oversightPrevious experience in a brewery or manufacturing environment strongly preferredPhysical RequirementsLift /carry supplies in excess of 85 lbs and team lift up to 170 lbsAble to stand for length of work shift, up to 10 hoursPosition requires frequent crouching, moving heavy hoses, and working in hot, cold, and humid environments.Education RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentShift: 4 x 10hr days, Wed-Sat, 2pm-12am with some flexibility.Wage: $19/hr with no/limited experience, moving to $20/hr once fully trained (includes $1/hr evening shift differential). Higher wage available for more experience!
