Our owner operated model is aimed at expanding the ability for older adults to live happily and healthfully in their own homes for as long as possible. We are currently looking for a Center Aide to join our team Per Diem . Day to Day duties:
- Assist participants and/or supervise with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and food nail care, and toileting) as assigned or needed.
- Create and participate in group(s) and one-on-one activities in accordance with daily activity calendar and as requested by the Recreational Therapist.
- Monitor and assist participants with meals.
- Throughout the day, assist in maintaining clean and orderly day rooms, kitchen and personal care areas.
- Attend to inventory of supplies in the day room bathrooms / personal care areas
- Take vital signs and/or weights as assigned by clinic staff.
- Accompany enrollee to medical and other appointments.
- Perform and or assist with laundry, including clothes for participants.
- Assist transportation staff with the loading and unloading of participants from vehicles.
- Provide Escort assistance on transportation vehicles when requested.
- Note changes in participant's physical or emotional health and communicate this information to the Director of Nursing or designee.
- Fulfill charting and reporting requirements.
- Assist the transportation department with participants' takes home supplies
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CHHA or CNA Certification
- Minimum of 1 year working with a frail or elderly population.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in leading recreation or group activities
