The Center for Maine Craft is a year-round retail outlet for Maine artists to exhibit and sell their work. Presenting and promoting over 300 Maine Crafts Association members, the gallery provides a unique shopping experience to the public by showcasing Maine's legacy of creativity and craftsmanshipthrough a broad spectrum of media, technique, and creative design. The Center also acts as a community resource for state and cultural tourism, connectivity to our membership, and access to the broad range of programming offered by Shop Maine Craft and Maine Crafts Association.EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIESPosition: Gallery Sales AssociateReports To: Center for Maine Craft ManagerHours & Pay: 16-35 hours per week, $16/hour starting rateLocation: 288 Lewiston Rd West Gardiner, Maine 04345OverviewGallery Sales Associates play a vital role as the front-of-house staff, offering travel information to visitors in West Gardiner and supporting our artist-members by advocating for their work. Through retail sales and exemplary customer service, we enhance the visibility, stature, and significance of our creative community. Our team collaborates to foster a positive environment for working, shopping, and learning.Hours, Benefits and PayHours range from 16-35 hours per week in the summer and holiday shopping season, and may be reduced in the off-season (January - May). Starting pay is $16/hour.
