Central Admissions Coordinator**Come join a growing team! Opportunity to step into the world of post-acute** The primary function of the Centralized Admissions Office is to function as the front end business office for all of our referral sources. The Coordinator would be responsible for data entry, insurance & benefit verification, and processing prior authorization requests to admit patients into our skilled nursing facilities across the commonwealth. The Centralized Admissions team receives referrals by phone, care referral partners, EMR, or by fax. Our staff will gather information about the needs of the perspective patient or resident and seamlessly enter and collaborate with our field clinical liaison team to coordinate admission to our centers. Our Centers Overview The position will be supporting the central intake and admissions process for 13 centers in the Massachusetts region. Our centers specialize in high quality care, while maintaining specialty programs run by cardiologists, pulmonologists, nephrologists, and more! Key Responsibilities
  • Your primary goal is to input data coming in from Hospital Systems EMRs, faxes, or telephonic
  • You will then ensure all appropriate data is input in our Referral Tracking System, insurance verification, alert to CL and Admissions personnel of new referral
  • You will be working with Center Level Admissions Directors while working closely with our external marketing and nurse liaisons
  • Obtain Managed Care Authorizations and ensure proper skilled level of coverage is approved
What we need from you
  • Prior experience in long term care, insurance verification, or admissions is preferred
  • Associates degree or higher is preferred
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
  • Prior Point Click Care (PCC) experience preferred
  • General working knowledge of federal and state regulations and reimbursement (Managed Care, Medicare, and HMOs)
  • Ability to work in the corporate office, located in Woburn, Massachusetts
