Central Distribution Inventory Control Lead

The Inventory Control Lead defines inventory control operational standards, organizes department-level activities to achieve optimum service levels and sets high performance objectives for the department. This lead provides oversight of the inventory control function and ensures that inventory related processes are designed in an efficient and effective manner. The lead holds themself and others accountable to meet stated objectives and commitments, adhering to standards even in the face of unforeseen circumstances. The lead works with all inventory coordinators to ensure that inventory control objectives are met. Develops and implements a replenishment schedule that will meet the clinical and service needs of all user departments. Reviews the par levels of all Central Distribution items, adjusts the levels as needed to maintain an appropriate, cost effective inventory. This role requires complete working knowledge of Pyxis and Lawson for par and inventory management.

Responsibilities

1. Maintains key performance measurements for warehouses, Pyxis Supply System, CD managed Par Locations, and Mobile Aspects.

2. Develops and maintains a service delivery schedule that meets the clinical needs of all areas served

3. Assists Project Lead with establishment of operational performance for inventory, par and automated supply solutions

4. Assists Project Lead with establishment of individual employee performance measurements for inventory, par and automated supply solutions

5. Establishes best in class key performance measurements by evaluating system performance opportunities and networking with peers.

6. Establishes a reporting and evaluation frequency that drives measurable results for overall inventory performance

7. Maintains a 98% fill rate for all warehouses

8. Establish expiration management system utilizing Lawson

9. Maintains appropriate inventory on hand for WH1, WH2 and WH5 based upon expected lead times

10. Monitors, maintains and improves Lawson Inventory related metrics

11. Ensures that all Lawson Inventory and Receiving related metrics are closed for month end processing

12. Works with Receiving Coordinator to establish protocols that assure timely receipt, delivery, and return of goods that pass through the dock 13. Guides the Inventory Control Coordinator to establish protocols that assure timely ordering an put away of stock replenishment

14. Guides the Inventory Control Coordinator to establish protocols that assure accurate and timely picking of supplies to meet customer demands

15.. Guides the Inventory Control Coordinator to establish protocols that assure acceptable obsolescence

16. Has a keen understanding of all Lawson Inventory Control functionality, related data elements and subsystem interconnectivity.

17. Works effectively with SCIS personnel and collaborates on Lawson Systems improvement projects; ensures best practice inventory management is utilized and routinely reviewed for enhancements.

18. Able to communicate operational status to Manager and other staff members via one on one interaction and group meetings.

19. Oversees cycle counts and annual physical inventories

20. Collaborates with other departments to maintain effective communication channels by gathering and exchanging information, obtaining solutions to problems, and coordinating services to ensure optimal outcomes are achieved.

21. Drives changes with an enthusiastic can-do attitude for department/organization initiatives

22. Sets an example that inspires superior performance while instilling confidence and trust in others.

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried through with efficiency, accuracy and quality. They will be involved in training, auditing and resolving customer service issues.? Contribute to staff development by performing random audits of staff members to ensure a high level of productivity and quality service to our customers and by providing follow-up and ongoing education, training and mentorship.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associates Degree or 5 years Supply Chain Operations leadership experience

2. 5 years previous Inventory Control experience

3. 5 years Microsoft suite of products experience

4. ERP experience

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifts objects weighing up to 50 pounds

10%Carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds

10%Pushing, Pulling, transporting loads up to 500 pounds

10%Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping and kneeling

40%Sitting and finger dexterity
