Are you with us?!?Purpose: The purpose of this position is to have the central packer wrap, label and Load all finished goods coming off 522, 528 and 529 work centers and operate 529 rework winder when needed.Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

Coordinate the flow of finished product from the winders to and from the packing area.

Operate a lift truck and all other support equipment.

The ability to organize and process multiple shop orders including varying grades of product, roll sizes and packing put-up.

Responsible for the proper packing, labeling and loading of all paper processed in accordance with the customer item directory, packing diagrams and boms.

Ability to fill in as a packer on 522 and 528 winders.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Communicate complete and accurate information at shift change or when relieved.

Ability to work carefully around potentially dangerous machinery.

Ability to prepare the central packer station for the day's orders and perform necessary tasks in the systems.

Ability to run the rework winders when needed.

Ability to work in rotational shifts and cover for the order processors when needed.

Education, Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

High school diploma or it's equivalent.

Minimal 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimal 1 year packing experience.

Basic math skills and have the ability to read and write English.

Must have knowledge of Ahlstrom Information Security policies and is for his/her own part responsible for ensuring information security when handling information and maintaining or using information systems or information networks

This position is additionally responsible as part of the manufacturing flexibility program to cross-train and be fully qualified to work in an at least one other alternate position within the manufacturing operation.

Physical Demands:

Ability to continuously lift up to 50lbs.

Ability to work while being exposed to temperature variation.

Vision tested minimum requirements for converting operation is corrected to 20/40 far vision and 20/30 for near vision.
