Job Description:

Stamford Hospital is seeking a Full Time Central Sterile Processing Technician to join the Perioperative team. This is a great opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery and new age instrumentation.

Hours: Days from 7am to 3pm / Evening from 3pm to 11pm- 8 hours and rotating weekends and holidays.

The Central Sterile Processing Tech will be Responsible for cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and high-level disinfection of all reusable medical instrumentation. Maintains high standards consistency and continuous product flow between the OR, end user clinics, hospital departments & Sterile Processing. Responsible for maintaining adequate supply levels in sterile storage area, rotating stock as appropriate pulling case carts for the daily surgical schedule.

Significant portions of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material & equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying moderately heavy (over 20 pounds) for intermittent periods throughout the day.

1) High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

2) Certification in CRCST or IAHCSMM required

3) Minimum of 1 year of central processing experience in a hospital or 2-3 years experience in a specialty surgery center
