ImmediatelyAdditional Information:Effective Date(s): ImmediatelyStaff Needed: One (1) School PhysicianQualifications:* Hold a current license by the NJ Board of Medical Examiners in Medicine or Osteopathy and shall have a training and scope of practice that includes child and adolescent health and development* Show evidence of successful health care experience working with children and adolescents.* Shall have completed the Student Athlete Cardiac Screening Professional Development Module* Hold a driver's license with no serious violations* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, wellness education, community health and social service resources, and current health issues* Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative* Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and the interpersonal skills to relate with students, staff, administrators, parents, school nurses and the community and health and social service agencies.* Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary* Provide proof of U.S. citizenship* Provide proof that a criminal record history has been conducted and clearance has been given by the Department of Education, and finger printing taken in accordance with procedures established by the Commissioner of Education* Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job function* Must be available for onsite medical consultation weekly.
