Central Sterilization TechnicianPay Range: Days: $16.94-18.70Evenings: $18.04-19.80Nights: $18.44-20.20All evening and night shifts include shift differentials. The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
- Experience in Central Sterile Supply or Operating Room preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, medical supplies and medical equipment preferred
- Ability to use steam and low temperature autoclaves and aeration cabinet
- BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
- Certification from the Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required.
- Non-Certified Candidates will receive on-the-job training and training manuals in order to sit for the Sterile Tech certification within 18 months of hire.
Duties:
- Prepare pre-case carts for surgery
- Perform Bio testing
- Qualified candidate will memorize and have knowledge of operating room instruments and process of sterilization
- Sterilization of instruments at Samaritan's clinics and Nursing Facilities as well as Samaritan's hospital
