Responsibilities of a Central Supply Coordinator:
Manage and maintain the inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and materials needed for the nursing home
Order, receive, and distribute supplies to various departments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate stock levels
Track and monitor supply usage, making adjustments to inventory orders as needed
Coordinate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely shipments
Maintain accurate records of supply orders, deliveries, and stock levels
Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to identify supply needs and address any shortages
Ensure that all supplies and equipment meet safety and quality standards
Qualifications of a Central Supply Coordinator:
Previous experience in inventory management or supply coordination, preferably in a healthcare setting
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and vendors
Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is a plus
