Job Overview:
Inventory and distribution of medical and surgical supplies of all nursing care unit Par Locations. Insures proper rotation of dated inventory and maintains cleanliness of storeroom area. Supply CMMC with both sterile and non-sterile products, restock medical/surgical supplies in Pyxis Supply Stations and shelf locations and performs Pyxis station inventories regularly.

Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Three years hospital central distribution experience and med/surg supply knowledge required
* Computer skills desirable

Essential Functions:
* Distributes equipment such as IV pumps, Flowtron, Gomco, etc.
* Picks up dirty equipment and instruments
* Replenishes storeroom stock daily, and maintains cleanliness of department
* Unpack and put away daily Storeroom stock, rotated dated material, and maintains cleanliness of Storeroom
* Checks for outdated supplies on the nursing units and in the central storeroom
* Accurately inventories and distributes supplies to all areas of the Medical Center and Continuing Care building
* Understands sufficient medical terminology in order to distribute supplies needed for patient care departments
* Handles telephone information requests with courtesy, accuracy, and respect for confidentiality
* Stat requests are handled appropriately
* Delivers and fills supplies in Pyxis stations and shelf locations according to established department procedures
* Rotates all dated supplies and maintains cleanliness of Pyxis supply stations
* Responsible for all documentation for the work area assigned and required by Central Distribution
* Responsible for the receiving, distribution and record keeping of needles and syringes in Central Storeroom
* Retrieval of soiled instruments and equipment in all patient care areas and deliver clean equipment throughout shift to assigned floors
* Understands and is able to operate the departmental computer system to determine stock levels, orders pending and stock issues
