**Centrifugal Assembler

1st shift Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm, OT and Weekends as needed

Pay Starts at $28./hr. and can go up based upon experience!

Onsite at Buffalo, NY

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled assembler to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the assembly of our product. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. This position is responsible for safely performing high-level continuous work to quality standards. Assignments may change based on business demands.

You must have desired technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. Ability to interpret instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision.

Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of tasks to support the assembly and test of industrial machinery and compression equipment within the plant, in accordance with predetermined standard work.

Read, understand, and apply method sheets, assembly diagrams, and blueprints.

Detect quality defects and unsafe conditions.

Be knowledgeable, and follow all applicable safety rules and procedures.

Interpretation of drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, identify materials for construction, and assemble components.

Operate power pneumatic and hand tools required for performing job duties.

Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and create work orders for repaired as needed.

Loading and unloading of equipment utilizing fork trucks, and hoists.

Work in a team environment, and assist co-workers in other areas as needed/directed, suggesting process improvement ideas.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Material handling activities may include managing inventory levels by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, shipping and receipt of supplies.

Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

Perform general housekeeping of the work area.

Tasks can include but are not limited to welding, painting, operating machines and presses, assembly and disassembly of parts, wiring, shipping preparation, and performing quality checks and tests.

All other duties as assigned by the supervisor/team leader.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) is required.

Three (3) years in manufacturing experience preferred.

Prior experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, precision measurement, blueprint reading and pipefitting is preferred.

Familiar with and ability to utilize all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.

Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.

Familiar with and can utilize power tools.

Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

Fully site based

Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.

Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.

Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.

Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others.

Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.

Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Must be able to work in a multi-tasked environment.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Reaching and handling with high levels of dexterity.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds from floor to waist.Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally required to work near moving mechanical equipment.

Frequent exposure to various chemicals, sealants, and lubricants.

Occasionally required to work outside where weather conditions range from moderate cold to moderate heat.

Normal exposure to moderate noise levels.Occasional exposure to high noise, levels where hearing protection will be required.
