Location: Chillicothe,OH, USA
Under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Team lead, the phlebotomist assumes the responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures under the philosophy, policies, and procedures established by the hospital and department. The phlebotomist is the departmental ambassador and is responsible for providing excellent customer service. This position does not have access to funds.

* Ability to operate standard business equipment such as phone, fax, printers, copy machine and computers.

* Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy, efficiency and professionalism.
* Ability to establish friendly and cooperative relations with those contracted, often while addressing patient and/or family concerns regarding procedures and testing.
Minimum Qualifications (include):
* Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
* Required Certification: Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT) as outlined in AHS Laboratory SOP Name: Certification Pathway and Certification. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and/or Electrocardiogram (EKG) as needed depending on position. Hospital/laboratory phlebotomists are not required to have CPR/EKG
* Required experience: Excellent customer relation skills. Mathematical, verbal, and written skills at the high school level.
* Preferred experience: Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting.
