Some of our benefits include generous Paid Time Off and Holiday Accruals; Five CME days + $3,000 allowance, Employee/Employer contributed retirement plan, Tuition reimbursement, Educational and Wellness days, 9 or more institutional holidays, and more.Relocation assistance available + No state income tax in Texas.Essential Job Functions:Responsible for providing anesthesia services under the medical direction of an attending credentialed anesthesiologist prior to, during and following surgery, procedural care, or for diagnostic or therapeutic interventions. Develops a plan of care based on preoperative assessments and coordinates with all appropriate healthcare givers. Initiates the planned anesthetic technique under the medical direction of the anesthesiologist. Administers anesthetic agents and adjunctive therapeutics at levels to maintain the patient's physiologic homeostasis. Monitors patients intraoperatively for physiological responses and manages emergence and recovery from the anesthetic.EDUCATIONRequired: A graduate of an anesthesiologist assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Master of Science in Anesthesiology or equivalent degree.EXPERIENCERequired: NonePreferred: Two to five years of clinical experience in a high acuity hospital, specialty hospital, academic medical center, or equivalent.CERTIFICATIONRequired: All of the following: Current Certification or recertification as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA). ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
