Job Summary:
* Proficient in casting and splinting applications and associated procedures
* Proficient in dressing changes, associated applications and suture removal
* Consistently orders and manages casting supplies to ensure adequate inventory
* Educate patients and caregivers of specific care related to casts, splints, dressings, and durable medical equipment
* Maintain appropriate levels of casting and splinting supplies
* Fit patients and give appropriate instruction on a variety of DME
* Familiar and proficient in EPIC EMR and BREG DME Dispensing software systems
* Knowledgeable and familiar with billing and insurance procedures and is capable of anticipating doctors and patients needs while performing on a multi task level
* Assists patient care staff with rooming patients and performing vital signs as needed and available
* Facilitates patient flow by coordinating patient care in a timely and efficient manner
* Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations
* Available for Ortho Now evening coverage as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and certification by the BOC (Board of Certification).
