Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program; Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC); Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency; Previous experience as a high school athletic trainer preferred; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the appointing authority may deem appropriate; Valid driver's license; Must have ability to obtain and maintain insurability status under the District's vehicle insurance policy.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Principal or Designee, the Athletic Trainer coordinates programs of preventative care, emergency care, immediate first aid, and therapeutic/rehabilitation, training and athletic program excellence for both High School and Middle School student-athletes and coaches and remains available for athletic practices, home games, and specified away games. This position exhibits a high degree of independent judgment and must effectively communicate with students, parents, and other school personnel.
