Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Director of Special Education and the direct supervision of the assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), performs specialized tasks working directly with general and special education students and staff in the classroom, in groups, and in 1:1 settings providing intensive behavior support and modeling utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. This is an advanced instructional support position. To function at this level, the candidate must possess the training and experience to work with minimal supervision during the workday.Requirements / QualificationsOnly those applicants with a complete application packet & meeting the job description qualifications will be invited to interview. A complete application package includes an Application with the previous work history completed, Contact information for three professional references filled out. -High School Diploma or GED equivalent and -AA degree or 48-semester units of college, or Para-educator Assessment -Maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, including receiving required supervision from the assigned BCBA Supervisor -Obtain and maintain certification in District-approved Crisis Intervention Training - Current CPR and First-aid certification (and maintaining it current) Licenses and Certificates: -Possession of an appropriate, valid California Driver's License, evidence of insurability, and a reliable means of transportation -Obtain and Maintain a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) status with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board; -Certification is obtained by completing 40 hours of classwork in applied behavior analysis AND passing the assessment from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board -Certification is maintained through direct supervision hours and ongoing training in the field of Applied Behavior AnalysisPlease see the job description: Applicants must be qualified at the time of applying.
