Job Description ECU Health About ECU Health PhysiciansECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.
Position Summary Coordinates clinic operations and assist providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management. Assists with and provides patient care services and customer services as necessary. Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records. Must demonstrate skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians. Possesses time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and assist patients and providers as necessary.
Minimum Requirements - High School graduate or equivalent.
- One of the 2 certifications are required:
- Certified medical assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered medical assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Requirements - Preferred one or more years experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
