Job Description:

Our client, Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team. This is a full time in office opportunity Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM.

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Kingston, RI

Pay Range: $18-$20/hr

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

At least two years experience in health care setting, required

Knowledge of referral process and insurance companies, required

Medical terminology knowledge, required

Electronic Health Record experience, required

CPR certification, required

Recent experience as a certified Medical Assistant, required

Phlebotomy certification and recent experience with lab draws, strongly preferred

Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution, required

Experience working in a community health center, strongly preferred

Experience with office medical procedures and treatments, required

Strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software, required

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a wide variety of individuals and to achieve understanding and acceptance, required

Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion, required

Basic math and problem-solving skills, required

Ability to: perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods; work in a team environment; adapt to performing multiple tasks; prioritize orders, required
